Newsletter Delay
You might have seen on the news, we had a storm
here in the Northwest that knocked out power
lines across the area. Avalon's web offices
have been without power for a week, and we
were unable to print the newsletter for inclusion
in your December shipments. It's available here
as a pdf online:

If you can't print
the newsletter, email Jean and we'll send you
a printed copy.
Newsletter Changes
Starting with
the December issue of the Wine Club newsletter,
we'll be posting it as a pdf on the Wine Club
Members page. You can print it from there,
or if you don't have the equipment to do so,
let us know and we'll send you a printed copy.
It's an expensive print job and we'd rather
put the money into better wines for our members.
By making it a pdf, we can provide a longer
and more complete newsletter each month, including
details that wouldn't fit into the printed
version.

Data Sheets for
Cellaring
Many club members
taste the Club wines immediately, decide to
order a case for cellaring, and put them away
for several years. Data sheets for each wine
will be provided in 2007 as pdfs on the Wine
Club Members page. Download a copy for your
records, and/or print them out to stash away
in the case with the wine. When you go to
select a wine from your cellar in a few years,
the data sheet will be there to remind you
of recommended cellaring times and food pairings.
The tasting notes for the wine are included
for reference.
