Come taste the wines from one of Oregon’s pioneers, Lange Estate. The wines from Lange Estate are on fire! We love them for their style and value. The elegant yet forward 2006 Lange Willamette Valley Pinot noir is simply rocking at $22. The 2006 Willamette Valley Chardonnay, for $12.50, exemplifies the beauty of pure Oregon Chardonnay. Lange helped define the style of Oregon Pinot gris, and you’ll be able to taste why on Saturday.

Jeff Philpot, wineman extraordinaire, will be pouring the Lange wines and can tell you all about them. He can also tell you about virtually every bottle of wine we have in the shop!

Owen Roe Abbot’s Table 2006 is Here
Let the feeding frenzy begin. The brand new Abbot’s Table is big and bold like previous vintages, with a greater percentage of Zinfandel (almost 25%). Add 8 other grapes from Cabernet to Blaufrankish (?!) and you have the most popular Owen Roe wine. We’re keeping plenty on hand, so grab a case.

Tasting next Saturday: Coeur de Terre
Coeur de Terre enjoys the distinction of being in Avalon’s top three best new Oregon wineries. Considering the number of new wineries popping up in Oregon every year, that’s saying something. If you’re into Pinot noir, this tasting is a must.
