Hamacher Pinot noir 04
$40.46/$44.95
Captivatingly complex! A gorgeous nose of
fresh cherries and cherry cream soda, with hints
of strawberry, earth, and spice. Tons of layered
fruit--cherries, strawberries and cream, bits
of raspberry and black currant on the finish--is
complemented by bright acidity and super-integrated
tannins. The finish has great length as whispers
of red fruit, cinnamon, and dried thyme echo.
Like the 2002, this is a finesse Pinot, with
even more complexity. A May 2007 Reserve Pinot
Noir Club selection! - Marcus
The Hamacher Pinot
noir 04 is a
superlative followup to
the Hamacher 2003 Pinot noir.

"My mouth watered as I pulled in the superb
aromas of the 2003 Pinot Noir. A hedonist’s
delight, it displays candied cherries,
vanilla beans, hints of smoked bacon,
ripe black plums, and Asian spices. This
wine has unbridled power, massive concentration,
sublimely sweet fruit, and awesome richness.
Dominated by black cherries and black
raspberries, it slathers across the palate
in viscous waves, then lingers for 45
seconds or more in the finish. If this
decadent wine gains in complexity with
time it will be mind-boggling!
Projected maturity: 2007-2015."

Ponte Winery Pinot noir is bold, ripe, dark,
rich, beautifully balanced, a scent of cherry
pie with hints of cedar and spices leads to
rich, big black berry and stone fruit flavors,
with finegrained, well balanced tannins. Interestingly,
Isabelle is known as one of France's leading
experts on wine barrels, and her use of oak
in this wine is perfection. -JY
Daedalus "Labyrinth" Pinot
noir 04
$35.96/$39.95
Outstanding- scents of fresh red raspberry
and red cherry dominate the nose of this rich,
lovely wine. Flavors are intense, almost liqueur-like
in richness. The first taste had notes of red
cherry and raspberry and gave the sense that
the wine was expanding in the mouth, with almost
candied notes of fruit. Flavors continued with
more red and blackberry fruit, white pepper,
a hint of licorice, and warm, soft hints of oak.
The expansive fruit flavors are balanced
by an uplifting, fresh acidity and silky, totally
itegrated tannins. Doesn't sing a wrong note,
this is a collector's wine. Very very limited.

Winters Hill Reserve
Pinot noir 04
$45.00/$50.00
Sweet, rich
cherry & raspberry
fruit with hints of vanilla and toast in nose
and flavors. The scent is just remarkable-
about as luscious as a nose gets. Delphine
Gladhart is an artist- she really did a great
job with this wine! An Avalon Reserve Pinot noir
Club Selection.
"Price of Pinot's" Pinotfile Newsletter on Oregon Pinot noir named this wine their "Top Beaver" in a tasting of 20+ wines. Rusty said: "This
wine has an extraordinary nose of cherries,
cola, spice and chocolate leading to a complex
depth of flavors of rich red cherries, Coke,
and baking spice. There is an underlying
earthiness that adds to the appeal. What
really wows is the caressing texture of silk
and satin. The lovely spiced cherry backend
lasts an eternity. This sensual pleasure
is everything you could hope for in a Oregon
Pinot Noir."
