O'Reilly's Pinot noir 2007

O'Reilly's is the "good value" label of David O'Reilly, winemaker and co-owner of Owen Roe Winery. "Good value" O'Reilly's wines are made from juice that does not quite fit the recipe for the spectacular Owen Roe wines, and are very reasonably priced. One of the most "blogged" about Oregon Pinots, there are raves for O'Reilly's Pinot noir all over the internet.
For O'Reilly's fans, go directly to the order button. For those who are new to O'Reilly's Pinot noir, here's what to expect. Elegant and lighter-bodied than the 2006, with bright red berries, purple flowers and earth in the aromas. Vibrant and juicy flavors of raspberry, cranberry, and hints of cherry. It gains depth towards the finish, with brambly dark berries and subtle tinges of dried herbs. A beautiful food wine, and a ridiculous value as always. Buy an extra case and leave it in a dark corner in the cellar--you'll love how it ages over the next few years. The O'Reilly's Pinot noirs are one of the first releases of the vintage, and offer a glimpse of what's to come. Based on our tasting, bring on 2007!
